No, you do not need to visit a doctor before seeing an occupational therapist.

Can I be present during my child's session?

Generally we allow parents to be present in the first few appointment. Once the child is familiarized with the session, we recommend that parents would drop of the child and come back when the session is finished.  This is because sometimes parents could become distractions to the children.
