About the Role

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Kidstart, you will assess and treat children with communication challenges, while contributing to interdisciplinary care plans and supporting families through evidence-based practice. This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, intervention, and treatment planning for children with autism and developmental disabilities
• Use a broad range of speech-language pathology skills to support communication and oral-motor development
• Deliver direct therapy (1:1 or group) and document assessments, progress notes, and reports accurately
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans
• Maintain strong communication with families, caregivers, educators, and community service providers to support consistent progress across environments

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (or eligibility to register)
• Membership with SAC or Speech and Hearing BC (preferred)
• Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to support children with diverse communication needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
